Brochures, flyers, and posters traditionally have two main purposes:
- to convey information about a department, program, or services
- to promote an event or series of events such as speakers, conferences, or symposia.
Depending on the scope and complexity of the project, it could be most effectively handled by having our department develop, design, and produce the project. In other cases, time, cost, and other issues may make it more beneficial to work with an external print or design vendor (see pages 30-31 of the University Graphic Style Guide for a list of vendors).
In general, please contact us if you have questions about how best to plan the project and to see how it might fit with other communications from your school, department, or division.
If you are developing the project yourself, please refer to our visual identity guidelines in the University Graphic Style Guide to be sure you are using official logos, fonts, and colors.
If the project falls under the fundraising or alumni relations category, please check that page for general guidelines.
