The Web Communications Department has been working with Stolze Design (an award-winning design firm in downtown Boston with extensive higher education experience) to develop a collection of templates that will be used across the University. The designs have been imported into a content management system to allow webmasters to easily update and maintain their websites.
In order to clearly distinguish content and websites intended for external audiences from the University’s internal sites and content, we have developed three sets of templates:
School websites
Each of Tufts’ undergraduate, graduate and professional schools will use a common template for their main externally focused websites.

Other external websites
If your website is designed primarily for people off-campus (examples include research centers, community programs or clinics), we encourage you to use our external website template. Designed to complement the school websites, these templates maintain many of the same visual elements while providing some additional flexibility.
Internal department/unit websites
If your website is designed primarily for the on-campus community (students, faculty and/or staff), please use the internal templates. Featuring a basic, clean design, these templates were created to provide consistent and easy-to-use pages for campus business.
